EMF Detector reads your iPhone's built-in magnetometer and shows the live magnetic field strength in µT or mG. It calibrates a baseline for the room, shows how steady that baseline was, and lets you record sessions with spike marks, review them afterwards, compare two sessions, and export readings as CSV. The Tools tab adds Radar, Metal Finder, Presence Meter and the SLS-Style Camera. The app is for entertainment; it is not a scientific or safety instrument.
The reading shows "Phone moved during calibration".
Hold the phone still for two seconds and tap Calibrate under the meter. Calibration measures the room; moving during it gives a baseline that does not match the room.
Sensor accuracy is low.
Move the phone slowly in a figure-8 for a few seconds, away from magnets, speakers and metal. The accuracy indicator updates by itself.
I bought Pro and it is not showing.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Restore Purchases says "Nothing to restore".
No Pro purchase or subscription was found for the Apple Account on this iPhone. Sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy Pro, then tap Restore Purchases again.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
In the app, open Settings and tap Manage subscription. Or open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Payments, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple.
What does Pro include?
No ads, unlimited session history (the free version keeps your 3 most recent sessions), CSV export without an ad, radar skins, Presence recording, sensitivity and sound alert, and the SLS-Style Camera extras: LiDAR depth on iPhones with LiDAR, a night-vision-style filter and photo capture. Pro is a weekly or monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The Pro tool features can also be tried for a limited time by watching a whole ad.
The ad did not unlock the export.
The export unlocks only when the ad plays to the end. If no ad is available, the app tells you and offers a retry.
The camera says "Camera access is off".
Tap Open Settings and allow camera access for EMF Detector. Only the SLS-Style Camera needs it; the other tools work without it.
The camera shows a figure where nobody is.
The SLS-Style Camera detects human figures and human-shaped objects, such as people, mannequins, photos and TV screens. A figure appears only where the camera finds a human shape.
Does the Presence Meter detect people?
No. It measures how much this iPhone moves or vibrates, using its motion sensors.
A tool says "Stop the Meter recording to use a tool."
Tools can't be used while a Meter recording runs. Stop the recording on the Meter tab first.
